Event description:

How many years have you lived now in Belgium? After the Brexit referendum, do you feel disenfranchised and still feel like a European citizen? Perhaps it’s time to recognise your new roots here in Belgium, demand your voice be heard, volunteer for a local organisation or become a dual citizen.

Media and authorities report an increasing number of UK citizens are inquiring and applying for Belgian citizenship. Unfortunately information on naturalisation, voter registration or local civic opportunities is not always correct, sufficient or adapted the specific situation of EU citizens living in Belgium.

Objectif (www.allrights.be), one of the most specialised organisations on these issues, is reaching out to UK and other EU citizens in Brussels to provide expert information and advice in English, French and Dutch. This event will demystify the process through a comprehensive presentation, small-group discussions, and Q&A in English.
