José Inácio Faria MEP, will discuss health priorities of the ENVI Committee, including the issue of ensuring access to medicines. Mr Faria was shadow rapporteur on the Parliament's report on EU Options for Improving Access to Medicines.
Mr Faria will provide a short keynote speech which will be followed by a moderated Q&A session.

José Inácio Faria has been Member of the European Parliament since 2014. He is also currently President and Electoral Coordinator of Partido da Terra- MPT’s political group at the Lisbon Municipal Assembly, where he worked as Secretary-General from 2009 to 2011 and previously as legal political advisor from 1992 to 2002. Before that, he was legal advisor in the International Relations Office at the Department of Social Welfare of the Municipality of Lisbon from 1992 to 2002. José Inácio Faria is lawyer with a postgraduate degree in Environmental Law and currently preparing a PhD thesis in International Public Law at the Universidad of Cáceres.
