With Estonia coming next at the EU Presidency cycle, Märt Loite, Head of Competitiveness Section, Counsellor for Economic Affairs at the Permanent Representation of Estonia to the European Union, will provide an overview of the priorities of the Estonian Presidency in Competitiveness and the Single Market.

Märt Loite is the head of Competitiveness Council team in the Permanent Representation of Estonia to the EU which includes the following fields and working parties: Internal Market, Industrial and Innovation policy, SME-s, Space policy, Tourism policy, Consumer protection, Export credits, Technical harmonization, Better Regulation. He has served 7 years in the Government Office in Estonia, from 2011 as a deputy head of Strategy Unit and recently spent a year as seconded national expert in the Commission DG ECFIN, dealing with the future of the Economic and Monetary Union. At the Government Office he was responsible for the Estonian Competitiveness agenda and he is currently the member of High Level Group on Competitiveness and Growth.
